International Mission Board (IMB)
IMB's (International Mission Board's)
mission is to make disciples of all peoples in fulfillment of the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20. First Baptist Church of Cambridge, through the Cooperative Program and Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, helps fund the IMB.

Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
Each year as Christmas approaches, First Baptist Church joins other Southern Baptist churches and collect the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for the sole purpose of supporting international missions. Every penny of the offering goes to the International Mission Board’s overseas budget, thus supporting our missionaries and their work.
In addition to providing funds, First Baptist participates in a week of prayer for the international missions work and missionaries the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering supports.
The 2013 theme is "Totally His." What does it really mean to be "totally His" and love Him with all our hearts, souls and minds? We're to first love Him, then to love others.
It will take all believers, all of the church to complete the task of the Great Commission.
Operation Christmas Child
In the fall, we gather together to participate in our annual Christmas Shoebox Send-off! Members contribute a variety of items from toys to pens and pencils, from toothbrushes and combs to gloves and lollipops and pack shoeboxes as a way to share the love of Christ and meet the needs of the children around the world.
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan's Purse. Samaritan's Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world.
Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God's love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan's Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ.
