Our weekly services are available to anyone wishing a copy for themselves for to take to a family member or friend. They are ready for pickup the Tuesday or Wednesday after the service on the table in the front entrance. You can also listen to or download the service recordings on our website.

If you need a CD for a particular week and there are none in the basket, please let the church office know and we'll make you a copy.

At the First Baptist Christmas store this year, gifts were provided for 94 children (35 families), ages birth-18. Parents got to shop for their gifts and get them wrapped at the gift wrapping table — thanks go to the Quota Club for all the gift wrapping supplies. Parents even got to enjoy home-made cookies and punch while they waited. Many extra items were provided at the “stocking stuffer” table.

Habitat for Humanity Dorchester Ecumenical Build and Dorchester Episcopal Churches will sponsor a Spaghetti Dinner at Christ Episcopal Church in Whatley Parish Hall at 607 Church Street, Cambridge, Maryland on Thursday, November 7th, 2013 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

Dinner includes Spaghetti, Salad, and Garlic Bread. Deserts and Wine are extra.

We are now collecting pantry items to distribute in our Thanksgiving Baskets.  We need:  Canned Cranberry Sauce, Canned Gravy, Boxed Instant Potatoes, Boxed Stuffing, Canned Sweet Potatoes, and Canned Peas. 

We will be purchasing turkeys, rolls and frozen pies.  If you would like to donate towards the purchase of these items, please make your check payable to First Baptist Church and note for Food Pantry.  Thank you for helping those in need.

We will be providing weekly bag lunches and a monthly dinner for the Cold Weather Shelter. If you would like to help with the cost, please take a "Loaf of Love" box located outside the sanctuary doors. When your "Loaf of Love" box is full, place it in the "Loaf of Love offering basket also located outside the sanctuary doors. The Cold Weather Shelter will be open December 1, 2013 through March 31, 2014. Thank you for sharing a "loaf of love" with others in our community.

A Sunday School teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds.

After explaining the commandment to "honor thy father and thy mother," she asked "Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?"

Gather 2 Scatter is the 2013 State Missions Offering of the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware.

Funds given to the State Missions Offering will be used to help churches throughout the multi-state region develop and participate in the represented ministries and beyond.
