4:00-6:00 P. M.

Cambridge, Maryland

The Dorchester County Ministerial Association is sponsoring the “Walk of the Cross” on Good Friday, March 29, 2013, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M., in Cambridge. The Walk is patterned after the familiar and traditional liturgy for the “Stations of the Cross.” A brief, ten minute liturgy will be conducted at each of the seven stops along the route, with clergy and laity from various churches participating.

This year’s route will include the following churches:

  • Salvation Army Chapel, 200 Washington Street
  • Cambridge Wesleyan Church, Race and Washington Streets
  • New Life Christian Church, 923 Phillips Street
  • Bethel A. M. E. Church, 623 Pine Sreet
  • Waugh Chapel United Methodist Church, 429 High Street
  • Zion United Methodist Church, 612 Locust Street
  • Christ Episcopal Church, 215 High Street

The Walk of the Cross is intended to be an opportunity for spiritual renewal - a meditative, reflective observance, as we walk from stop to stop. Along the walk route, various persons will have opportunity to carry the cross part of the way. All seven church locations are accessible, and bus transportation will be available for those needing/desiring it.
